Initiation and maintenance of the FAU WOWL Student Government Web/Real Audio and Backup/Remote Logging servers - 2000 - present - based on Lance Spitzner's Honeynet Project and the Complete Reference Guide to Creating a Remote Log Server by Eric Hines.
Construction of the FAU OWL Student Server - 1999 - 2000 - Installed Red Hat 5.2 (LINUX 2.0) on Dell Pentium (ten Gig harddrive) for the student server. Installed Secure Shell. Wrote FAQ for Web Developers and made available cgi-bin for each account. PERL available to all accounts. WWWboard, guestbook and counters available for all accounts with support documentation. Created Home Page. Password protected areas for the WWWboard and Courses area. Set up remote logging for other LINUX boxes outside the subnet.
Served on the hiring committee for Distance Learning Asst. Director - 1999 - Distance Learning runs WebCT as one of the featured tools for off-campus instruction. Served on the WebCT advisory committee for selection and implementation of FAU's new WebCT NT server.
Webbase 6 - Distance Learning Committee - 1998 - 1999 - This group was formed to create and implement the Web-based, fully accredited Distance Learning classes which were housed on NT Web server
Accessible Web Site Committee - 1998 - This group was formed to implement Web site guidelines to benefit all of FAU's disabled students, staff and visitors. PM88 is the guideline which focuses on keeping technology accessible to those with disabilities. FAU will maintain its site so that people using screen readers and people who have low-vision can still access all the information on its pages.
Network Upgrade for Motorola/IRM Engineering Committee - 1997 - This group was formed to appraise and coordinate the Network upgrade from coax Ethernet to Cat5 in FAU's Engineering, Ocean Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering buildings. A new network was designed to add fast, direct access to each building and the Motorola Plant in Boynton Beach.
Motorola Lab Renovation Committee - 1997 - This committee was formed to design and coordinate the renovation project for two new Motorola training labs in the Ocean Engineering buildings on the FAU Boca campus.
littlemac - 1995 - 2000 - Development and maintenance of the MacWeb server littlemac.irm.fau.edu.
Award - May 1996 - NetGuide - Guide to the Web three out of five stars for the MaxGallery.
1998 - littlemac's IP address was moved to peewee.irm.fau.edu (virtual hosting).
