radio station DJ Web Pages:

If you are a radio station DJ, and have been added to the on-air schedule, you should have a Web page. It can be on the radio station site or radio station can link to a site you may have in another area of the Internet.

For the radio station DJs that already have a Web page, please contact the radio station Web Administrator to link to it by filling out the on-line form for linking to DJ Home Pages.
For those DJs that have not created a Web page yet, please change the one that I created for you. You can use the Administration Toolbox to make those changes. The instructions on this page. Visit "How can I change my page? What is the Admin Toolbox."

Where is your page?
Your radio station DJ Web page is located in the DJ's area on the radio station Web site. It is linked from the radio station Program Schedule and the list of radio station DJ E-mail addresses.

What's the URL?
It should look something like this:

http://radio station.fau.edu/djs/yourDJname
wher
e yourDJname would be the name you gave me as your DJ name or perhaps I used your first name.
Example: If your DJ name was Joe Schmoe, your URL would be:
http://radio station.fau.edu/djs/joe
Another Example: If your DJ name was DJ Snoopy, your URL would be
http://radio station.fau.edu/djs/snoopy

If I set up a Web Page for you it should be located in this directory. Click here and make note of the URL in the location (address) box of your Web browser.

How can I change my page? What is the Admin Toolbox?
I should have given you a username and password. Use them to get to your Web page admin toolbox. Do not share them with anyone. By the way, the radio station staff does not need to ask you for your username and password for Web support. So none of the staff will ever ask you for that information. Please do not share your username or password with anyone. The admin URL to visit is linked on your radio station Web page - the icon looks like a toolbox.
The actual link should look something like this:
http://radio station.fau.edu/djs/yourusername/admin/
"yourusername" is the username that will be given to you once your Web page is created. If you don't have this and you are on the radio station on-air schedule, fill out a form to request a radio station Web Page.

Visit the admin tool page to make changes to the text and images on your radio station Web Page. In the beginning, your radio station Home page should look a little like the example on the right.

You can add text in the left side of the page.
You can change the words that say "radio station FM" with your show name
you can change the two images on the right.

Remember, text and images should be appropriate for the University and should not be offensive. Follow the policies that are listed in IRM's Policies and Procedures. Anything that will get radio station in trouble with FAU or the State of Florida will be removed from this Web site. And this site is monitored throughout the day - every day. If you are unsure about the policies for radio station DJ conduct, check out the radio station DJ contract. You can use that as a guide to the type of information that is appropriate for a radio station Web page as well as how to conduct yourself and your guests on air.
